Original book produced by Paula Ábalos in 2016, and published in 2022 by Sur Norte Editoras, Chile.
This book, which creates an autobiographical visual narrative through photographs and poetic texts, addresses the theme of home and migration. It originated from the experience of Paula Ábalos, who lived for 4 months in the guest room of a German family right after leaving Chile, where they kept family memories.
During her stay, the artist insistently photographed the room, the objects, the family portraits and especially the bed, accompanied by notes about the experience of living in a room surrounded by the memories of strangers, when she was in a foreign country accompanied only by what she could fit in a suitcase.
